North Coast Electric has a Heart and Raises $23,000 for the American Heart Association

BELLEVUE, WA - North Coast Electric was honored as one of the top fundraising companies for the 2004 Puget Sound American Heart Association Heart Walk. North Coast Electric contributed $5,000 as a supporting sponsor of the event; additionally North Coast Electric employees raised over $18,000 for the American Heart Association for a total of over $23,000. "Our goal was to raise $15,000; we exceeded our own fundraising expectations by a landslide!" said Peter Lemman, President of North Coast Electric.
OSRAM SYLVANIA was a key player in helping to raise money to fight heart disease and stroke. SYLVANIA participated in the NCE program called "Lamps for Life"; in exchange for a $1 donation to the American Heart Association, customers received a free ENERGY STAR SYLVANIA CF13EL/2700K lamp. Over 15,000 Customers will receive free lamps which will equal an additional $15,000 donation to the American Heart Association.
Over 100 North Coast Electric employees and their families put on their walking shoes for the 2004 American Heart Walk which was held in Seattle, WA on October 9, 2004. The walk began at Qwest Field; over 15,000 people walked the 3.2 mile route on the Alaska Way Viaduct and through portions of downtown Seattle.
North Coast Electric Heart Walk Coordinator, Jamie Smethie, stated "We are happy to have been able to participate in such a worthy event and are thrilled that we were able to make such a significant contribution."
