Our customer, TYCO electronics, was looking for a way to cut operating expenses by utilizing available incentives for upgrading to a more energy efficient lighting system. Our local North Coast Energy Solutions team was tasked with helping them find a solution that met their criteria for cost effectiveness, light quality, maintenance efficiency and energy savings.

Their existing system was conventional pulse start metal halide high-bay fixtures. Our team evaluated several energy efficient options including LED, induction, electronic HID and the more common linear fluorescent. After reviewing their criteria and “running the numbers” the clear choice was Metrolight electronic HID.

• Initial system cost effectiveness compared to LED and induction
• 2.3 year payback
• One lamp to maintain
• Kept the existing look which was preferred
• Extended lamp life
• Extremely smooth dimming capabilities
