As preparations for Wednesday's big event get finalized, we wanted to take the time to proudly announce our honored guest speakers. These individuals are at the forefront of Green technologies and we are excited that they will be here to share their knowledge and expertise.
James Holbery, Ph.D. is President and Founder of Grid Mobility, a technology company that enables for the first time commercial, industrial, residential, and electric vehicle customers to choose renewable energy and reduce their energy costs. Prior to founding GridMobility, James served as a Staff Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, as a Senior Scientist at both the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microdevices and within the Applied Physics Group-CSIRO, Australia, and as a Mechanical Engineer at Ford Motor Company. James founded Ti Horizons Mountain Bicycle Company acquired by K2 Sports in 1993. Jim holds a Ph.D./MS in Materials Science (UW) and BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Michael Pesin is leading strategic technology and smart grid developments for Seattle City Light. He is a nationally recognized expert and one of the thought leaders in the smart grid and innovative utility technologies. Mr. Pesin has over 28 years of experience in the electric utility industry leading technical organizations, managing advanced technology projects and driving innovation across companies. In addition to his work at Seattle City Light, Mr. Pesin works with a number of federal, regional and state organizations to support development of smart grid, adoption of electric vehicles and other technology initiatives.
Chad Biasi is the founder and managing member of EV4, a leading edge integrated-services company that creates infrastructure and systems to optimize energy access and use. Mr. Biasi started his career as an apprentice architect and given his entrepreneurial vision and keen sense to seek out successful opportunities, he is best described as a serial entrepreneur. He has helped develop products and launched companies in a number of fields including computer aided facilities management, 3D graphic databases, wide area networks, global fiber/construction management, Telecommunications, bioplastics, and organic fertilizer. He is currently working with ecosystem players to generate power and revenue through the use of EV4’s Energy Transfer Merchant (ETM™).
